Our first production, Psalty: The‐Take‐Your‐Time‐Machine, took to the stage at The Globe Theatre in Palmerston North on the 26th of May 2011 and ran until the 28th. This show starred John Aldersley as Psalty, with direction by Nina Donkin, musical direction by Debbie Donkin, choreography by Jessica Rademaker, assisted by Jacinta Rademaker.
Psalty is a Singing Songbook, who, along with his friends, the Kids' Praise Kids, loves to sing. When they realize they are going to be late with their project, Psalty invents The Magnificent‐Multi‐Phasic‐Take‐Your‐Time‐Machine. The machine is made to stretch time, but as the kids hop on and little Monica presses the button, something goes wrong - Psalty accidentally invented a time machine and they are all taken back in time! Psalty and the kids meet many famous people including King David as a boy, John Newton, Miss Fanny Crosby and they even get to see Psalty himself as a boy, before they manage to get back to real time.
Our first show went fantastically and was met with great public approval! We will definitely be back soon with more!
